Analytical Paragraph
Goldberg writes this column to address the current Conservative Party. The audience is all Conservatives and younger Conservatives, and even just young politically active individuals. He uses his use of background knowledge of party reformers to prove he is a credible source to ridicule the current state of the party. He also shows his credibility by stating that he is and always has been a conservative as well for his entire life. He appeals to logic mainly in the fact that he is trying to appeal to the common knowledge of people. He uses a semi formal diction to show that he is someone of an educational background and has the knowledge to talk about the current state of the Conservative party, now infected by Donald Trump-idus.
