Analytical Paragraph
This article mainly uses appeals to ethos and pathos through ridicule and current events. Goldberg presents this article on Russia's current airstrikes in Syria as a total sarcastic and almost laughing tone. The entire passage it seems as though the author is physically laughing whilst writing it, which is an interesting choice in the aspect of ethos. It almost seems as you could lose respect for the author for the unprofessionalism he holds while ridiculing the Obama administration even if his claims stay true. Goldberg also definitely is appealing to the emotions of the audience by the use of humor in the passage mixed with the disappointment or hatred he seems to hold for the Obama administration causing readers to either rally with him, or lead to more articles written in the same style about himself.
